Calling All 4-H & FFA Members: Are You Ready to Grip for a Great Cause?
One of the most exciting—and meaningful—traditions of the Post Stampede is back for 2025! Grip for Grant will once again take center stage during each rodeo performance, and we’re calling on young agricultural leaders to step up and compete in this unforgettable arena challenge.
This event isn’t just about catching calves—it’s about heart, hustle, and honoring a young cowboy whose spirit continues to inspire. All proceeds go toward helping kids, and it’s one of the ways the Post Stampede continues to give back to our community.
Who Can Enter?
Grip for Grant is open to any 4-H or FFA member who is an incoming high school freshman through senior. Teams of two will compete together in this fast-paced event.
Competition Rules
A circle will be drawn in the arena.
All teams begin inside the circle with their halters.
Calves will be released into the arena.
When the announcer says “GO,” teams must catch a calf and apply one halter.
The team must lead the calf to the winner’s circle, bringing both team members and the calf fully inside the circle.
The first team to complete the task will be declared the winner.
How to Enter
Pre-entry is required. No late entries will be accepted.
